Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will have a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. This role involves monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and maintaining a secure environment through proactive surveillance and conflict management. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is preferred, along with relevant certifications such as CPR and First Aid.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
Monitor surveillance equipment including CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, utilizing conflict management skills to de-escalate situations when necessary
Maintain detailed logs of security activities, incidents, and observations for reporting purposes
Enforce loss prevention measures by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
Assist visitors and staff by providing directions or information while maintaining a professional demeanor
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during critical incidents as needed
Ensure all security procedures comply with company policies and legal regulations

Qualifications

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
Certifications such as CPR and First Aid are preferred but not mandatory; training can be provided if necessary
Strong observational skills with the ability to recognize suspicious activity through surveillance systems like CCTV
Excellent conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure
Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security protocols
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a professional manner
Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and stand for extended periods
