Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a dedicated individual capable of maintaining a secure environment through attentive surveillance, conflict management, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, excellent judgment, and a commitment to protecting property and people.

Responsibilities

Monitor security cameras (CCTV) and surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.
Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations of visitors and staff.
Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, utilizing first aid or CPR if necessary.
Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Maintain a visible presence to deter theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access (loss prevention).
Manage conflicts calmly and professionally, de-escalating situations when possible.
Follow all safety protocols and company policies to ensure a secure environment for everyone on-site.

Requirements

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is not required but is a plus.
Certifications such as CPR, First Aid, or conflict management training are not required but desirable.
Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention techniques.
Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
Excellent conflict management and communication skills.
Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle emergency situations effectively.
Must be reliable, professional, and committed to maintaining a safe environment at all times.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24.0 – 40.0 per week
