Job Summary
Under general direction, is responsible for performing supervisory and administrative work coordinating the activities of assigned security force to include contract security guards. Exercises direct supervision over assigned staff.

Essential Job Functions
- Develops operating procedures, policies, and directives.
- Coordinates work assignments.
- Prepares reports and maintains records regarding incidents.
- Investigates and takes appropriate action on resident complaints.
- Performs administrative functions related to counseling, performance evaluations, employee discipline, hiring, training, etc.
- Prepares budget for section.
- Opens and secures assigned buildings.
- Responds to building intrusion alarm activations.
- Examines and certifies portable fire extinguishing equipment.
- Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as required.
Job Requirements
- Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university.
- Three (3) years law enforcement or security experience, including two (2) years supervisory experience.
- Valid Class "C" Texas Driver's License
- Must be certified in CPR or become certified within one year of appointment.

- Unless otherwise stated, applicants are permitted to substitute two years of related full-time experience for one year of higher education or one year of related higher education for two years of experience in order to meet the minimum requirements of the job. One year of full-time experience is defined as 30 or more hours worked per week for 12 months. One year of higher education is defined as 30 credit hours completed at an accredited college or university.

- Knowledge of modern security procedures, techniques, methods, and practices.
- Knowledge of administrative and management practices.
- Skill in utilizing a personal computer and associated software programs.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Ability to act quickly and calmly in emergency situations.
- Ability to establish and maintain good public relations skills.
- Ability to respond to minor troubleshooting of intrusion alarm and fire alarm reporting systems and equipment.
- Ability to perform all physical requirements of the position, with or without accommodations.
- Working conditions are primarily in an office environment. Working conditions are in a large building complex or stadium environment with occasional exposure to hostile people and emergency situations.
