Day/Night shift
- Full Time Security Officer
- Monday - Wednesday e/o Sunday 7pm-7am
- Thursday - Saturday e/o Sunday 7pm-7am
- Monday - Friday 1100 - 1900
- Part Time On Call Security Officer
- 12 HR Shifts: 7PM-7AM or 7AM-7PM
- On Call for various days of the week
LOCATION: Holland, MI
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. Additional responsibilities include:
- Ensure only authorized individuals are allowed access to the site.
- Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
- Must provide above excellent customer service.
- Must have above average computer skills. Multiple applications are used solely and conjunctively daily.
- Provide information and assistance to calling parties concerning emergency, security and general assistance needs.
- Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency response.
- Follow procedures and policies to uphold compliance for regulatory needs.
- Monitor CCTV system using recording devices. Daily checks on cameras for functionality and report maintenance needs.
- Monitor, operate, test and data entry responsibility for a variety of computerized and electronic equipment used in access control, fire, and security systems.
- Create and maintain reports and files. Assist in the additional updates of reports, records, and files.
- Must be able to multi-task and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must follow site specific post guidelines.
- Other duties as assigned.
SUCCESS as a Security Officer at DK Security will look like:
- Reliability - Report for your shift on time, presentable, and in the prescribed uniform.
- Friendly Personality- Being able to balance our expectations of outstanding customer service while maintaining client policies and enforcing rules.
- Following Company and Client Policies - Be able to read and interpret written post guidelines, follow procedures as outlined and ensure all tasks are completed throughout the shift.
- Use of De-escalation Techniques - Being able to defuse situations through verbal judo and other communication tactics.
Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
- Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.
- Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.
- Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified
- Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
- Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years
- Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years
- No other major violations in the last 3 years.
- Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs
- Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
