Job Summary:
The Security Guard at a Coal Mine Repair Shop is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for employees, visitors, and property. The guard will monitor and patrol the premises, control access points, and respond to any security incidents or emergencies.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Access Control:
- Monitor and control entry and exit points for employees, visitors, and vehicles.
- Verify identification and issue visitor passes.
2. Surveillance:
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises, including the repair shop, storage areas, and perimeter.
- Use surveillance systems to monitor activities and detect suspicious behavior.
3. Incident Response:
- Respond to alarms, disturbances, and emergencies promptly.
- Coordinate with law enforcement and emergency services as needed.
- Document incidents and prepare detailed reports.
4. Safety Enforcement:
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Identify and report safety hazards and potential security risks.
5. Customer Service:
- Provide assistance and directions to visitors and employees.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor at all times.
6. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate logs of activities, incidents, and visitor information.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience as a security guard or similar position.
- Strong observational and surveillance skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to remain calm and respond effectively in emergency situations.
- Basic knowledge of first aid and emergency procedures.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
- Capability to work in various weather conditions and environments.
- Strength to lift and move objects as needed.
