About the position

Position: Part-Time Floater Security Guard

We’re hiring dependable and flexible Security Guards for part-time “floater” positions (20–40 hours per week) in Brooklyn. As a floater, you’ll cover various client sites, filling in for regular staff or providing extra coverage. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable adapting to different environments.

Key Responsibilities

Travel between assigned sites to provide security coverage where needed.
Patrol and monitor areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote safety and order.
Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
Enforce site policies, check credentials, and manage entry points.
Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.

Qualifications

Minimum age: 18
Active New York State Security Guard License (required)
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites
Strong communication and observation skills
Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure
Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Rate: From $17.50
Part-time scheduling with 20–40 hours per week
