Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to emergencies, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct regular patrols, and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
- Utilize CCTV systems to observe and report any suspicious activity or incidents.
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergencies, providing first aid or CPR as needed until emergency services arrive.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft and ensure the safety of assets.
- Prepare detailed reports on daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences for management review.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
- Manage conflict situations effectively using conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions.
Experience
- A valid security guard certificate is preferred but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates.
- Experience in law enforcement or military service is a plus, providing valuable skills in surveillance and emergency response.
- Familiarity with first aid and CPR certification is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in loss prevention or security roles will be advantageous.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during shifts; experience with surveillance equipment is beneficial.
- Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with staff, visitors, and law enforcement personnel as needed.
