Conducts and assists in administrative and criminal investigations and risk assessments. Identifies and implements strategies to mitigate risk.
Principle Responsibilities
- Designs, assists and conducts investigations.
- Ensures all investigations are conducted in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and company policies.
- Develops and implements investigation strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the investigative process.
- Prepares detailed and accurate reports of investigative findings for internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborates with law enforcement agencies, legal teams and other relevant entities to facilitate the investigation process.
- Remains current with developments in criminal law, investigative techniques and industry best practices.
- Collects, analyzes and interprets evidence, including documents, digital data and witness statements.
- Leads and conducts comprehensive investigations into a variety of cases, including but not limited to fraud, theft, misconduct and other criminal activities.
- Identifies risk mitigation strategies.
- Leads meetings and consultations using accepted risk mitigation strategies for threats and threatening behavior, investigatory conclusions and other type of internal and external risk.
- Mentors and trains.
- Offers guidance and support to investigators and associates on their investigative skills and knowledge.
- Provides stakeholder groups with training on relevant subject matter relating to investigations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Law Enforcement, Criminal Justice or relevant field for individuals hired after December 5, 2019
- 5 years experience conducting routine investigations as a primary responsibility or
- 10 years experience working in a corporate security or law enforcement environment
Licenses/Certifications
- Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment
- Interview and Interrogation Certification from Wicklander-Zulawski and Associates preferred
- Certified Threat Manager Certification from Association of Threat Assessment Professionals preferred
- Crisis Intervention Training (CIT) preferred
- International Association for Hospital Safety and Security (IAHSS) preferred
- Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) preferred
- Certified Protection Professional (CPP) preferred
- Certified Forensic Interviewer (CFI) preferred
- Professional Certified Investigator (PCI) preferred
Physical Demands
- Light Work:
- Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently
- 1.0 FTE (80 hours per 2-week pay period)
- 8-hour day shifts
- No weekends, No major holiday's
Pay Range
Pay Range: $34.83 to $47.74 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
