We are looking for a friendly, responsible, hard-working individual to join our Security team here at the Seattle Shirt Company.

We take pride in our company’s culture, and believe in being able to provide a safe and comfortable environment for both our employees and customers. Your job will include holding presence at the entrances of our stores and remaining actively aware of who all is coming and going, while having the opportunity to interact with both Seattle locals and people traveling from all over the world.

We hold our Security Officers to a high standard, and expect them to uphold a strong presence as a means to deter unwanted activity before it has a chance to escalate. Your daily duties will include:

· Checking the bags of customers who have set off an alarm when leaving the store

· Quickly responding to incidents within minutes of them occurring

· Meeting and greeting customers who come to the store

· Acting as a visual deterrent

· Stopping obvious, suspicious people from entering the store

· Able to spot suspicious behavior and act before something happens

· Comfortably approaching people who need to exit the premises

· Being able to remove stolen merchandise off of shoplifters when they resist

· Carrying out internal and external patrols

· Informing violators of policy and procedures

· Deterring anti-social behavior, theft and criminal activity

· Liaising with the police and law enforcement authorities

· Dealing with any emergencies as they arise

· Controlling entry to the premises
