Salary:
Starting $16.50 hr at 90 days if review is satisfactory pay goes up to $17.00 hr.
Summary:
The security officer is responsible for the protection, safeguarding, and security of assets, personnel, members, and all visitors around the clock, 365 days a year. He/she performs regular security patrols; enforces safety procedures; and provides positive interactions with all Members and their guests in a friendly and courteous manner.
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
1. Be dependable with strong work ethics.

3. Possess a good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment and enforcement procedures.
4. Ability to be alert and pay attention to detail to properly monitor surroundings.
5. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing with staff and the public
6. Able to handle unpredictable crisis situations calmly and safely.
7. Proficient in computer use.
Responsibilities:
1. Learn all security procedures laid down in the Standard Operating Procedures Manual
2. Check and take charge of the Shift Change Log and receive briefing of prior guards shift.
3. Patrol the park and its facilities and premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, entry ways and gates.
4. Call in safety concerns and respond to radio calls as needed.
5. Monitor, authorize the entrance and departure of all employees, members, visitors, vendors, and guests entering and exiting the Park for proper passes and to maintain the security of the premises.
6. Conduct visual inspections of all vehicles and their cargo.
7. Respond to incidents such as traffic accidents, theft or equipment damage, property damage, presence of unauthorized person(s), or unusual occurrences, disorderly conduct by a guest or Member, and following up written activity report.
8. Politely answer any inquiries or calls from Members or guests; provide information as pertains to the RBMC Security Department or direct them to the appropriate staff.
9. Direct Members and visitors with emergency situations or those requiring law enforcement to the proper authorities.
10. Interprets policy to ensure fair and consistent treatment and application.
11. Warm person of rule infractions or violations, and submit proper documentation regarding same to the proper staff and/or authorities.
12. Performing other duties as assigned..
Qualifications:
Must be at least 21 years of age, high school diploma or general education degree (GED) and three year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of security or law enforcement experience. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. Computer Skills:
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of word processing software; spreadsheet software; accounting software and internet software.
Work Environment:
While performing the duties of this job, the individual is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions; frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals; occasionally exposed to wet, humid conditions (non-weather), work near moving mechanical parts, and work in high, precarious places.
Work Schedule:
RBMC operates 7 days a week around the clock, 365 days a year. Consistent attendance and punctuality is a job requirement. Must be able to work days, nights, weekends and varying hours and additional days could be required to be worked as overtime. Employees will be required to possess current driver's license and reliable work vehicle.
Raises & Incentives:
Employees will be encouraged to develop goals and timelines against which they will be evaluated, and will meet with Team Leads every quarter to evaluate progress on those goals. Quarterly progress reports will be forwarded to the General Manage for review. Raises will be considered annually on this performance evaluation process.
