Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, with an emphasis on surveillance, conflict management, and loss prevention. The Security Guard will monitor premises through CCTV systems, conduct regular patrols, and respond to incidents as necessary.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Utilize surveillance equipment including CCTV to monitor activities within the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, providing first aid or CPR when necessary.
- Prepare detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when required during incidents or emergencies.
- Implement conflict management strategies to de-escalate potential disturbances.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying theft or fraud risks and reporting them accordingly.
Skills
- Proven experience in law enforcement or security roles preferred.
- Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment including CCTV systems.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and strategies is a plus.
- Military experience is beneficial but not required.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
