About Us:
Anchor Addiction and Wellness Center is proud to be launching Ohio’s first Mobile Opioid Treatment Program (MMU), bringing life-saving medication-assisted treatment (MAT) directly to individuals in underserved communities. We provide comprehensive, compassionate, and person-centered care for individuals in recovery from opioid use disorder.
Our mobile medication units require professional, vigilant, and empathetic security personnel to ensure the safety of our patients, staff, and medication at all sites of service.
Position Summary:
The Security Guard for the Mobile Medication Unit plays a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at various MMU sites throughout southern Ohio. This position requires a calm, observant, and professional presence during patient services, as well as the ability to respectfully engage with individuals in recovery. The guard will assist in site setup, de-escalation when needed, and coordination with local law enforcement or emergency services.
Key Responsibilities:
· Monitor and ensure the safety of patients, staff, and medication during daily MMU operations
· Maintain a visible, approachable presence during dosing hours
· Support orderly patient flow and maintain queue safety
· Identify and de-escalate disruptive behavior or incidents professionally and respectfully
· Communicate effectively with MMU clinical staff regarding safety concerns
· Assist with securing the vehicle and medication storage as needed
· Monitor surrounding areas and report any suspicious activity or safety concerns
· Maintain accurate incident reports and logs
· Provide mobile support across various community locations, adapting to new service areas
Qualifications:
· Guard Card Required
· High school diploma or equivalent required
· Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience strongly preferred
· Experience working in healthcare, addiction treatment, or mental health settings is a plus
· Must possess a valid driver's license with clean driving record
· Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
· Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills
· Ability to work early mornings (standard MMU hours: Monday through Saturday)
· Comfort working in a mobile, field-based environment with travel required

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
