The John Cooper School has 1 full-time position, M-F; 3:00-11:00 pm.
The duties of the Security Officers are to provide campus safety and security services on The John Cooper School Campus with an emphasis on fostering a caring environment for students, faculty, staff and community.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Directing and monitoring the campus pedestrian and vehicle traffic
- Monitoring and securing all campus buildings and facilities
- Monitoring the Campuses Raptor Alert System
- Student and Faculty parking enforcement
Competencies
- Working knowledge of law enforcement methods, techniques and procedures
- Working knowledge of The John Cooper School organizational policies and procedures
- An ability to recognize problems and choose the appropriate solution from among several
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to express ideas clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
Job Requirements
- Experience working in a school setting
- Experience as a security officer
- Security Officer License
- High school diploma or higher education
