Security Guard
Schedule: 20 hours min. per week/ IN-PERSON/ Monday through Friday 1:30pm to 5:30pm

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Guard is responsible for the safety and security of the program and site, inclusive of our staff, participants and visitors. The security guard must always be in sound mind and aware of their surroundings at all times. Ensuring they are vigilant by paying close attention to details with the ability to retain information and process it efficiently in the event a situation arises. Employees are responsible for complying with all UAU standards.
PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to):
- Monitor and observe entrances and exits
- Patrol and monitor assigned areas by walking around as needed to ensure proper and clear views
- Collaborate with school/site personnel on a daily basis
- Follow daily procedures and routines to ensure that the site is secure and safety is maintained
- Prevent losses, theft and damages by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed/required
- Performs other related duties as necessary or assigned.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years or older
- GED or High School diploma required
- Reliable mode of transporation
- Valid drivers license
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated ability to conduct and complete work independently
- Willing to take initiative and be flexible when needed
- Excels working in a collaborative environment to achieve target objects and outcomes

- Incumbent will be scheduled based on operational need.
- Standard office equipment including computers, fax machines, copiers, printers, telephones, etc.
- Position is in a well-lighted office environment.
- Involves sitting approximately 50 percent of the day, walking or standing the remainder.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position for at least 50% of the time.
- May include working prolonged periods of time sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet or more of the observer).
- Ability to life 30-50lbs as needed.
