The Alpine is a live music and concert venue in Reno, hosting a wide range of performances and events. We’re looking for reliable, professional security staff to help create a safe, welcoming environment for artists, guests, and staff.
Job Summary
Security Guards at The Alpine are responsible for maintaining safety and order during concerts and events. This role requires strong situational awareness, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle fast-paced, high-energy environments.
Responsibilities
- Monitor venue entrances, exits, and crowd activity
- Check IDs, wristbands, tickets, and credentials as required
- Enforce venue policies and event rules
- Respond calmly and effectively to disturbances or emergencies
- Assist guests with directions, questions, and concerns
- Coordinate with venue staff, management, and local authorities when needed
- Ensure a safe and respectful environment for all attendees
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure
- Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Availability for evenings, weekends, and late-night events
- Valid Nevada Security Guard Card (or willingness to obtain one, if applicable)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in live music venues, bars, or nightclubs
- First Aid / CPR certification
- Familiarity with crowd management and de-escalation techniques
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 6 – 20 per week
