Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. This role requires a professional with strong observational skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment. The Security Guard will be responsible for monitoring surveillance systems, conducting patrols, and responding promptly to incidents or emergencies. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. This position is vital in protecting assets, preventing loss, and upholding safety protocols across our facility.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or safety hazards
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity within and around the premises
- Respond swiftly and effectively to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
- Enforce access control procedures by checking credentials and maintaining visitor logs
- Provide first aid or CPR when necessary and coordinate with emergency services as required
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and de-escalation techniques
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and intervening when appropriate
- Write detailed incident reports accurately documenting any security breaches or incidents
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during investigations or crises
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields preferred
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are advantageous
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is desirable
- Strong observational skills with the ability to remain alert during long shifts
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to handle stressful situations calmly
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while following established protocols
- Physical fitness to perform patrol duties and respond quickly when needed
- Valid security license or certification as required by local regulations (if applicable)
