Overview
Active Armed Protection is seeking professional Unarmed Event Security Officers for an upcoming multi-week event beginning May 1st-18th. This assignment will require dependable, professional security personnel to ensure a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, and vendors.
This event will involve a variety of security functions including access control, patrol, and general safety presence. Multiple shifts will be available, including daytime, evening, and overnight coverage. Final shift assignments and schedules will be discussed during the interview process.
We are looking for team members who are professional, alert, and capable of maintaining a strong security presence while providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a visible security presence throughout assigned event areas, Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas
- Perform regular patrols of the event grounds and surrounding areas
- Assist with crowd management and guest direction when necessary
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, or safety concerns
- Write clear and accurate incident reports when required
- Communicate effectively with event staff, supervisors, and local authorities if needed
- Enforce event rules, policies, and safety procedures
- Provide a professional and customer-friendly presence for guests and staff
- Bag & ID checks
Skills
. Valid New York State Security Guard License (.Required)
- Armed Security Officers must possess valid NYS Armed Guard certification
- Strong observation and situational awareness skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-traffic environments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to stand or patrol for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
- Previous event security experience preferred but not required

Dates & Times:
May 9th & May 10th (8:30am-6:30pm & 9:30am-7:30pm)
May 16th & May 17th (8:30am-6:30pm & 9:30am-7:30pm)
- Multiple shifts available (days, evenings, overnight)
- Final schedule will be discussed during the interview process
