As a key part of our team, you will patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance systems, and respond promptly to incidents, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
- Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and vendors while maintaining accurate logs of entries and exits
- Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if trained
- Enforce property policies related to loss prevention and conflict management with professionalism and tact
- Maintain detailed incident reports and shift logs to document daily activities and any security concerns
- Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
- Certification in first aid, CPR, or emergency response procedures is preferred (DPSST CERTIFICATE REQUIRED)
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections
- Knowledge of conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively (TRAUMA INFORMED CERTS are a plus)
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security best practices
- Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
