Unarmed security guard role in Nordwood (Cincinnati) Ohio
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This position requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through regular patrols and surveillance systems to prevent and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, assessing the situation and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and ensure the safety of all individuals on site.
- Conduct thorough inspections of buildings, and access points to identify potential security risks.
- Prepare detailed reports on incidents, observations, and activities during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary and assist in investigations as required.
- Engage in conflict management techniques to de-escalate situations effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail for identifying potential threats.
- A valid security guard license or certificate may be required based on local regulations.
- Military experience is a plus but not mandatory.
