Position Title: Unarmed Security Guard / Post Commander

Job Summary
The Unarmed Security Guard / Post Commander is responsible for overseeing security operations at the assigned post, ensuring the safety and security of personnel, visitors, and property. This role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to respond effectively to emergencies. The Post Commander will supervise security personnel, enforce site policies, maintain accurate reports, and provide CPR and first aid assistance when necessary.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise and direct security officers assigned to the post.
Ensure all security procedures, policies, and client requirements are followed.
Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify and address security concerns.
Monitor access control points and verify credentials of employees, visitors, and contractors.
Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, alarms, and disturbances.
Prepare detailed incident, activity, and shift reports.
Serve as the primary point of contact between security staff, management, and clients.
Coordinate emergency response efforts and provide CPR/First Aid when required.
Train, mentor, and evaluate security personnel.
Maintain professional communication and customer service at all times.
Ensure proper documentation and recordkeeping of all security activities.
Report safety hazards, suspicious activities, and violations of company policies.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Valid Security Guard License (as required by state regulations).
Current CPR and First Aid Certification required.
Previous security experience preferred.
Supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in emergency situations.
Proficient in report writing and basic computer skills.
Must be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand and walk for long periods.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
Must maintain alertness throughout assigned shifts.
