We are currently seeking an on-site security guard with overall responsibilities to safeguard a condominium resort property on Hawaii Island. Must possess excellent communication skills with owners, guests, and employees, experience in safeguarding and must also possess a Hawaii State Guard Card issued by the DCCA.
Job Skills and Requirement:
The functions and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Observe and report all incidents, both emergency and non-emergency throughout the property during shifts.
- Ensure the safety of all persons on property; watch over the buildings and the property as a whole for water, fire, and theft issues.
- Maintain the peace and quiet enjoyment of the property by de-escalating any argument / incidents and/or altercations in support of the property’s house rules.
- Assist with late guest arrivals.
- Monitor and man the guard house station, including allowing entry to the property for valid persons.
- Property rounds on the security cart to ensure observance and attention to property conditions.
- Property rounds to ensure parking passes are displayed on all vehicles.
Qualifications:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess valid Hawaii state guard card (issued by the Professional & Vocational Licensing Division of the DCCA); renewed annually.
- Reliable; able to multi-task and learn on the job.
- At least five (5) years of security guard experience.
- Must possess good common sense, reasoning, and judgment ability.
- Extensive knowledge of security functions.
- Must possess valid Hawaii driver’s license or transportation to and from work.
Pay: $20.00 - $22.11 per hour
