Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment by monitoring premises, enforcing safety protocols, and providing excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, conflict management abilities, and a commitment to safeguarding people and property without the use of weapons.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
- Observe and report any irregularities or security breaches promptly and accurately
- Enforce access control procedures to ensure only authorized personnel enter designated areas
- Maintain surveillance using CCTV systems and other monitoring equipment
- Respond professionally to incidents or emergencies, including providing first aid if necessary
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying potential theft or vandalism
- Document incidents thoroughly in reports and communicate effectively with team members
- Uphold company policies and safety standards at all times
Experience
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military, or related fields is preferred
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable
- Demonstrated conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly
- Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and security protocols
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in diverse environments
