About the Role
AK Security Services is seeking a reliable and professional Unarmed Security Officer to join our team in Lake City, FL. This overnight position is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment through vigilant patrols, monitoring, and clear communication with clients and staff.
Responsibilities
- Patrol assigned property on foot and/or by vehicle during overnight hours
- Monitor CCTV systems and access points
- Document daily activities, incidents, and observations in detailed reports
- Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergencies
- Enforce site-specific policies and procedures
- Maintain a visible, professional presence to deter unauthorized activity
- Communicate effectively with law enforcement and emergency services when necessary
Requirements
- Must be 18 years or older
- High school diploma or GED
- Valid Florida Class D Security License (or ability to obtain prior to start date)
- Reliable transportation
- Strong communication and observational skills
- Ability to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods
- Ability to work overnight hours, including weekends and holidays as scheduled
- Clean background check required
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience
- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
