Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. YOU MUST BE a LICENSED SECURITY PROFESSIONAL THROUGH BSIS.CA.GOV. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for the Mendocino County and Ukiah area. This role requires a proactive approach to security, strong observational skills, and the ability to respond effectively to various situations. The Security Guard will work with the client to create a safe and secure, welcoming environment for their clients and the public. Security guard will be friendly, helpful, proactive and vigilant. We will prefer to hire a guard for a full time regular position, and have several guards available for fill in, extra help as well. VALID Guard Card is mandatory

Responsibilities

Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of premises.
Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations, taking appropriate action as necessary.
Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
Document incidents, observations, and activities in detailed reports for review by management.
Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary during investigations or emergencies.
Provide assistance in conflict management situations, ensuring de-escalation techniques are utilized effectively.
Administer first aid or CPR when required, ensuring the health and safety of individuals on site.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in security or law enforcement preferred.
Proven experience in security roles or related fields is an advantage.
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Familiarity with first aid procedures; CPR certification is a plus.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent observational skills with attention to detail; ability to identify potential security risks quickly.
Must be physically fit, capable of standing for long periods, walking considerable distances, and writing basic reports.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.50 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 40 per week
