Job Summary

In this role, you will monitor premises through surveillance systems, conduct routine patrols, and respond promptly to incidents or concerns. Duties

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to monitor for suspicious activity or safety hazards
Operate surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity in real-time and review footage as needed
Monitor access points, verify identification, and control entry for authorized personnel and visitors
Respond swiftly and professionally to incidents, disturbances, or emergencies, including providing first aid or CPR if necessary
Enforce facility policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access
Document all security-related activities through detailed reports and logs
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders during incidents requiring additional support
Assist with conflict management by de-escalating tense situations calmly and effectively
Support loss prevention initiatives by identifying potential security risks and suspicious behaviors

Requirements

Proven ability to remain alert and attentive during long shifts while maintaining professionalism
Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation and monitoring techniques
Basic first aid skills; CPR certification is highly desirable
Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security operations preferred
Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations diplomatically
Familiarity with security protocols and procedures for access control and incident reporting
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while adhering to safety standards
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and effective interaction with team members and the public
