Must have a Valid NYS Guard License
High School Diploma or GED
Reliable Transportation

Duties

Monitor premises through CCTV surveillance systems to detect suspicious activity and ensure safety protocols are followed
Conduct regular patrols of the property to identify potential security risks or hazards
Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and employees before granting access to facilities
Respond promptly to alarms, disturbances, or emergency situations with appropriate conflict management techniques
Assist in loss prevention efforts by observing and reporting suspicious behaviors or theft attempts
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security observations for record-keeping purposes
Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to address incidents effectively

Experience

Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and alarm monitoring is preferred
Certification in first aid and CPR is a strong plus, enabling quick response during medical emergencies
Demonstrated ability to manage conflicts calmly and professionally in high-pressure situations
Familiarity with security procedures, loss prevention strategies, and basic law enforcement practices
Strong observational skills with attention to detail for effective surveillance and incident detection
Ability to stand, walk, or remain alert for extended periods while maintaining focus on surroundings
