Join our dynamic security team as an Unarmed Security Guard in Eugene, where your vigilance and commitment to safety will create a secure environment for staff, visitors, and property. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your security expertise, surveillance skills, and conflict management abilities to maintain order and prevent loss. As a key part of our team, you will patrol designated areas, monitor surveillance systems, and respond promptly to incidents, ensuring a safe and welcoming atmosphere for all.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks.
Verify the identity of visitors, contractors, and vendors while maintaining accurate logs of entries and exits
Respond swiftly and effectively to incidents or emergencies, including medical situations requiring first aid or CPR if trained
Enforce property policies related to loss prevention and conflict management with professionalism and tact
Maintain detailed incident reports and shift logs to document daily activities and any security concerns
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency responders when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed

Requirements

Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is highly desirable
Certification in first aid, CPR, or emergency response procedures is preferred (DPSST CERTIFICATE REQUIRED)
Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems and conducting visual inspections
Knowledge of conflict management techniques to de-escalate tense situations effectively (TRAUMA INFORMED CERTS are a plus)
Ability to remain alert during long shifts while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security best practices
Excellent communication skills for clear reporting and interaction with team members and visitors
