Job Description Position Overview

Safety First is hiring dependable and professional Unarmed Security Guards for full-time and part-time positions throughout Connecticut. This role offers the opportunity to work at a variety of client locations including residential communities, commercial properties, event venues, construction sites, hotels, and private facilities.

We are seeking individuals who are reliable, observant, and committed to maintaining a safe and secure environment while providing excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols
Monitor premises, entrances, exits, and access points
Observe and report suspicious activity, hazards, or policy violations
Respond appropriately to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies
Complete daily activity logs, incident reports, and other required documentation
Enforce site rules, policies, and procedures
Provide professional customer service to clients, residents, employees, and visitors
Assist with crowd control and site monitoring when needed
Maintain a visible security presence to help deter theft, vandalism, and trespassing
Communicate effectively with supervisors, clients, emergency responders, and team members

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or GED
Connecticut Security Guard License (Guard Card)
Ability to pass a background check
Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between job sites if needed
Strong communication and observation skills
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred Qualifications

Prior experience in security, customer service, law enforcement, or military
CPR/AED or First Aid certification
Experience writing incident reports and handling emergency situations
