Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Armed Guard to join our security team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent conflict management skills, and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations. The Armed Guard will utilize surveillance techniques and equipment, including CCTV, to monitor premises and prevent unauthorized access.
Duties
- Patrol assigned areas to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Monitor surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to ensure the safety of the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Enforce security policies and procedures while maintaining a professional demeanor.
- Provide assistance in conflict management situations to de-escalate potential threats.
- Conduct regular inspections of security systems and report any malfunctions or concerns.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations.
Requirements
- Valid armed security guard certification is required.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of loss prevention strategies is a plus.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends as needed.
- Physically fit and capable to move around and stand for hours at a time.

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week

- 10 hour shift

- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
- Weekends only
