Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed, and potential threats are addressed promptly. The Security Guard will work in various settings, utilizing surveillance techniques and conflict management skills to prevent loss and ensure the safety of all individuals on the premises.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to deter and detect any suspicious activity or unauthorized access.
- Operate surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to maintain constant vigilance over the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and incidents, conducting thorough investigations as necessary.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
- Provide first aid and CPR assistance when required, ensuring immediate care for any injuries or medical emergencies.
- Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary to address security concerns or incidents.
- Document daily activities, incidents, and any unusual occurrences in detailed reports.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying potential risks and implementing preventive measures.
- Manage conflicts effectively through de-escalation techniques while maintaining professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security or law enforcement is preferred but not mandatory.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with surveillance systems (CCTV) and loss prevention strategies is advantageous.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Knowledge of military or law enforcement protocols is a plus.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Must be physically fit, capable of standing for extended periods, walking long distances, and responding quickly in emergencies.
- A valid security guard license or certification may be required depending on local regulations.
