POSITION SUMMARY:
The Security Guard operates under the direct supervision of the Environment of Care Director, the Security Guard will be responsible for ensuring the safety & security of patients, staff, and visitors within medical facilities. The Security Guard will conduct regular patrols of the hospital grounds. These patrols help deter criminal activity, ensure that safety protocols are being followed, and provide a visible security presence. The Security Guard will utilize their training in de-escalation techniques and conflict resolution strategies to defuse tensions and resolve conflicts in a calm, professional manner. Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol, perform other duties as requested.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High school diploma/GED required
License: None.
Experience: Experienced in law enforcement, jail/prison security, or private security guard preferred.
