Front Gate Security Guard

Camp Walt Whitman, a premier overnight summer camp located in Piermont, New Hampshire, is seeking a friendly, responsible, and attentive individual to serve as a Front Gate Security Guard for the Summer 2025 Season.
Position Overview:
As the first person visitors see when they arrive at camp, the Front Gate Security Guard plays a key role in maintaining a warm, welcoming, and secure environment. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with others while helping to ensure the safety and smooth operation of our camp community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet all visitors, delivery personnel, and others arriving at the front gate in a warm, professional manner
- Verify that all visitors are authorized before allowing access to camp
- Communicate with camp leadership as needed regarding arrivals, deliveries, or any concerns
- Maintain a visible and attentive presence at the front gate during assigned shifts
Qualifications:
- No prior security experience required
- Must have previous work experience and professional references
- Friendly, approachable, and respectful demeanor
- Reliable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Must be at least 18 years old
Available Shifts:
- Weekday Shift: Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM
- Weekend Shift: Saturday and Sunday, 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM
