Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our premises, personnel, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, sound judgment, and the ability to respond effectively to incidents and emergencies while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas regularly to deter and detect signs of intrusion or unsafe behavior.
- Operate and maintain surveillance systems including CCTV to prevent and respond to security breaches.
- Respond promptly and appropriately to alarms, incidents, and emergencies according to established procedures.
- Perform regular inspections of facilities, access points, and security systems to identify potential risks.
- Enforce facility rules, regulations, and procedures while maintaining a professional and respectful approach.
- Provide first aid or CPR in emergencies as needed until emergency services arrive.
- Collaborate with law enforcement and emergency responders when necessary.
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by identifying suspicious activities and intervening when appropriate.
- Write clear and accurate incident reports and maintain daily activity logs.
- Use conflict resolution techniques to manage disputes or disturbances calmly and effectively.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is strongly preferred.
- Valid certification in First Aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of surveillance and security systems, including CCTV operations.
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to remain calm and act effectively in stressful or emergency situations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must pass all required background checks and screenings in accordance with company policies.
- Physical ability to patrol on foot and stand for extended periods.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
