We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, including monitoring premises, conducting regular patrols, and responding to incidents as they arise. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in preventing loss and ensuring the safety of all individuals on-site.
Duties
- Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to maintain security of the premises.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to deter and detect signs of intrusion or suspicious activity.
- Respond promptly to alarms and calls for assistance, assessing situations and taking appropriate action.
- Utilize surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems, to monitor activities within the facility.
- Provide first aid and CPR as needed in emergency situations.
- Document incidents and maintain accurate reports regarding daily activities and observations.
- Collaborate with law enforcement when necessary to ensure safety protocols are followed.
- Implement conflict management techniques to de-escalate potentially volatile situations.
- Assist in loss prevention efforts by identifying risks and implementing preventative measures.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of surveillance systems (CCTV) and security protocols is highly desirable.
- Certification in First Aid and CPR is a plus; willingness to obtain certification if not currently held is required.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail to identify potential security threats.
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
