Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team at the Dougout mine. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires a proactive approach to security, ensuring that all safety protocols are followed and that any potential risks are addressed promptly.
Duties
- Monitor and patrol assigned areas to prevent theft, vandalism, and other illegal activities.
- Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances, ensuring appropriate action is taken.
- Utilize surveillance equipment such as CCTV to monitor premises and report any suspicious activities.
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and security systems.
- Enforce rules and regulations to maintain order and safety within the facility.
- Assist in conflict management by de-escalating situations when necessary.
- Provide first aid and CPR in emergency situations as required.
- Prepare detailed reports of incidents or breaches in security protocols.
Skills
- Proficiency in surveillance techniques and loss prevention strategies.
- Familiarity with CCTV systems and other security technology.
- Background in law enforcement or military service is preferred but not mandatory.
- Strong conflict management skills to handle difficult situations calmly and effectively.
- Ability to remain alert and observant while on duty.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with staff, clients, and the public.
