About the Franklin County Children’s Visitation Center
The Franklin County Children’s Visitation Center (FCCVP), a program of the Resilience Center of Franklin County, provides supervised visitation services to ensure safe and structured interactions between children and non-custodial family members. Our center supports families navigating custody and safety concerns with trauma-informed, child-centered services.
Position Summary
The Franklin County Children’s Visitation Center is seeking a part-time Security Guard to support the safety and structure of supervised visits. The Security Guard is responsible for greeting and checking in non-custodial visitors, maintaining a visible and supportive presence during visitation sessions, and responding if safety policies are violated.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and check in non-custodial parties upon arrival.
- Monitor and maintain a calm, professional presence during supervised visits.
- Observe and support the enforcement of FCCVP safety protocols and policies.
- Intervene and assist staff if a visit requires security response due to behavioral concerns or policy violations.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
- Communicate clearly with FCCVP staff regarding any incidents or concerns that arise during shifts.
Qualifications
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or crisis response preferred.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-stress or sensitive situations.
- Strong interpersonal and observational skills.
- Understanding of trauma-informed and nonviolent de-escalation practices a plus.
- Commitment to child safety and the mission of FCCVP.
- Must pass a background check and complete any required orientation or training.
Start Date: Immediately upon hire
