Security Guard – 3 Nights/Week w/ Daily Overtime (Long Beach)
Schedule: 3 nights per week (set days TBD)
Shift Hours: 8:00 PM – 6:00 AM (10 hours/night)
Pay: $18/hr + 2 hours daily overtime + 4% 401(k) match
Location: Huntington Beach, CA 92648

Job Description:
We’re seeking an experienced and dependable security guard for overnight coverage at a fixed location in Huntington Beach. This is a solo post focused on keeping watch over a key piece of equipment. Guards must provide a strong visible presence and remain attentive throughout the shift. The area is known to have homeless individuals nearby, so only apply if you are comfortable working in this environment.
Responsibilities:
- Stay visibly present at the equipment site
- Monitor surrounding area for potential disturbances
- Deter unauthorized access and document incidents
- Remain on site and alert for the full 10-hour shift
- Communicate clearly and follow company protocols
Requirements:
- Active California BSIS Guard Card (Required)
- Prior overnight or outdoor post experience preferred
- Must be professional, consistent, and self-reliant
- Physically able to remain alert for extended periods
- Must be comfortable dealing with homeless individuals respectfully and firmly
