Sunstates Security is currently hiring
Part-Time Security Officers in the Memphis, TN area for
2nd and 3rd shift. This position offers a pay rate of
$18/hr - with weekly pay.
All qualifying candidates are eligible for a 401(k) with employer match (up to 8%) that work 20 hours a week (minimum of 500 hours per year or more worked) and have completed six months of service with Sunstates Security.
Shifts
Days and hours can vary depending on operational needs.
- 2nd shift: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
- 3rd shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Requirements
- Must have availability to work Weekends
- Prior security, law enforcement, and/or military experience is a plus
- Prior truck gate experience is preferred
- TN Security License preferred but not required
- Exceptional customer service skills and critical thinking skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Must be computer literate and have basic computer skills
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Ability to work with limited supervision
- Must be reliable and dependable
Responsibilities May Include, But Are Not Limited To
- Ensure the security of the area
- Ensure the rules and regulations are followed
- Report writing (daily activity, incident, visitor logs, maintenance items, etc.)
- Conduct foot patrols
- Enforce security policies and procedures
- Check in-bound and out-bound traffic at the truck gate
- Other duties as assigned by management
A Security Officer may perform a multitude of duties as specified by the Post Orders and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). The Security Officer will read and become extremely knowledgeable of Post Orders and SOP and will be able to act quickly and efficiently according to such directives.

Certification Requirements (All)
TN Security License
