JOB DESCRIPTION
- Monitor and protect property against criminal activity and damage. Monitor the flow of people and employees in emergency situations.
- Know and enforce rules and regulations to prevent criminal activity before it happens.
- Monitor points of access to facility or property to allow entry only to authorized individuals.
- Maintain surveillance of property by patrolling or using closed circuit monitoring or alarm systems.
- Know and understand Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), safety guidelines, other jobs as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a security officer and/or related experience
- Must be proficient with computer programs such as Excel, Word and comfortable with using data input devices such as keyboards, cameras etc.
- Math and English skills are required. Handwriting needs to be clear and legible; able to convey and exchange information.
- Will be exposed to loud noise occasionally throughout the workday
- Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team.
- Must be able to take and follow both written and verbal orders.
- Must be able to work as needed as defined by the needs of the company.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Frequently required to stand, walk and reach above the head. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, crawl and talk or hear. The employee is required to lift a minimum of ten (10) lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to focus. The noise level in the work environment ranges from normal office levels to loud factory / warehouse levels.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Must be able to work multiple shifts and work Saturdays, Sundays and Holidays as needed.
- Ability to work in temperature conditions
- Able to work outdoors during inclement weather conditions.
- Must be able to walk a considerable distance (including up and down stairs) over the course of the workday.
