Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and vigilant Security Guard to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our clients, employees, and visitors. This role requires strong observational skills, the ability to respond effectively to incidents, and a commitment to upholding safety protocols. The Security Guard will play a crucial role in loss prevention and ensuring the overall security of the premises.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances, exits, sales floor, and high-traffic areas to deter theft, fraud, and other suspicious activities
- Greet and engage with customers in a friendly yet professional manner to maintain a safe atmosphere
- Perform routine patrols of the store.
- Respond to incidents such as theft, disturbances, or medical emergencies, following protocols
- Conduct receipt or bag checks as required by store policy
- Work closely with store management, loss prevention teams, and law enforcement when needed
- Support crowd control during peak shopping periods, product launches, or special events
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable laws
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Valid Security Guard License (as per state/local requirements)
- 1+ years of experience in security, loss prevention, or related field preferred
- Strong observational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations
- Basic knowledge of retail operations and customer service practices
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
