Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises. This role involves monitoring the property, observing for suspicious activity, and maintaining a secure environment for staff, visitors, and assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong observation skills, excellent conflict management abilities, and a professional demeanor. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to safety and loss prevention.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of designated areas to monitor for security breaches or safety hazards
- Observe and report any suspicious activity or security incidents using surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems
- Enforce security policies and procedures to prevent theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access
- Respond promptly to alarms or emergency situations, providing appropriate assistance as needed
- Maintain detailed logs of activities, incidents, and observations during shifts
- Assist with loss prevention strategies by identifying potential vulnerabilities
- Provide assistance to visitors or staff while maintaining a professional presence
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Utilize conflict management skills to de-escalate tense situations effectively
Skills
- Strong observational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent conflict management and de-escalation abilities
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV and security protocols
- Background in law enforcement, military service, or previous security experience (preferred)
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally
- Effective communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and accurately
- Knowledge of loss prevention techniques and security best practices

Pay: $15.00 per hour
