Job Duties And Responsibilities
DISH's Corporate Security Team is hiring an experienced Security Guard I to secure and support the Cheyenne, WY, Broadcast Center. This role involves interaction with all employee levels and working within a team. Key responsibilities include remote desk duties (approximately 85% of the time), such as monitoring security systems and creating employee badges, as well as conducting site walks of both the interior and exterior property grounds.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safety and security of DISH's employees, property, and information
- Control personnel, visitor, and contractor access to the Uplink facility by performing badge checks and issuing temporary badges, inspecting hand-carried items to prevent the loss of company property and introduction of prohibited items into the facility
- Perform administrative work at the security desk (issues employee badges, etc.)
- Monitor security cameras and alarm systems to detect unauthorized entry and exit from the DISH facility
- Respond to alarms, security situations, and other incidents taking action as direct to resolve the problem
- Patrol DISH property for breaches, maintenance problems, fire, and building hazards etc.
- Maintain an event log and operates computer systems supporting computerized security programs
Skills, Experience And Requirements
Education & Experience:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- One or more years of experience as a military police, civilian police or corporate security officer
Skills And Qualifications
- Computer experience with Microsoft Word, Access and Excel as well as general office skills
- Experience in operating access badge systems, CCTV's, Fence Disturbance Sensors
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with employees, customers, etc
- Prior experience working in the security field is preferred.
- Scheduled weekly hours are Thursday - Monday from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM

Salary Ranges
Compensation: $15.90/Hour - $22.70/Hour

The base pay range shown is a guideline. Individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, and competencies; compensation is based on the role's location and is subject to change based on work location.
