Job Summary
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Unarmed Security Guard to ensure the safety and security of our premises, staff, and visitors. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, patrolling designated areas, and responding promptly to incidents. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, excellent observation skills, and the ability to handle various situations with professionalism. Prior experience in law enforcement, military, or security is preferred but not mandatory. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment dedicated to maintaining safety and order.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular patrols of assigned areas to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security risks
- Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV cameras to observe activity and ensure security protocols are followed
- Enforce property rules and regulations while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times
- Document incidents accurately in reports and communicate effectively with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Assist with loss prevention efforts by observing suspicious behavior and preventing theft or vandalism
- Control access points by verifying credentials and managing visitor sign-in procedures
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and observations during shifts
Skills
- Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail
- Knowledge of surveillance systems such as CCTV operation
- Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively through conflict management techniques
- Experience or background in law enforcement, military service, or security operations is advantageous
- Excellent communication skills for reporting incidents clearly and professionally
- Ability to remain alert during long shifts and handle stressful situations with composure
- Familiarity with loss prevention strategies and security best practices
