Job Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and professional Warehouse Gate Guard to oversee entry and exit points at our facility. This role is essential in maintaining security, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and protecting company assets. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, a commitment to safety, and the ability to manage access control efficiently. Prior experience in security, law enforcement, or military service is a plus, along with familiarity with surveillance systems and loss prevention strategies.
Duties
- Monitor all vehicles and personnel entering and exiting the warehouse premises to ensure authorized access.
- Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing shipments when necessary.
- Maintain surveillance using CCTV systems to detect suspicious activity or security breaches.
- Enforce security policies and procedures consistently to prevent theft, vandalism, or unauthorized access.
- Respond promptly to security incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid or CPR if needed.
- Record detailed logs of all activities, incidents, and irregularities observed during shifts.
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during security incidents.
- Manage conflict situations professionally and de-escalate potential disputes effectively.
- Perform regular patrols around the facility perimeter and internal areas to ensure safety standards are upheld.
Requirements
- Prior experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems.
- Strong conflict management skills with the ability to handle tense situations calmly.
- Ability to operate loss prevention measures effectively.
- Excellent observational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible shifts as needed.
