Position: Security Guard (Armed & Unarmed)
Type: 1099 Contractor
Shifts: Full-time, part-time, and flex scheduling
Compensation: $20–$25/hr depending on assignment & experience
Hours: Vary by client and site needs
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a professional and visible security presence
- Conduct foot and/or mobile patrols
- Monitor and report suspicious activity
- Enforce site policies and secure client property
- Perform access control and perimeter checks
- Document incidents and respond to emergencies
- Uphold the standards and mission of Unity K9 Protection Group
Minimum Requirements
- Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience preferred
- Strong communication and situational awareness
- Must hold or qualify for Illinois PERC/CFTC credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Professional appearance and demeanor
- Armed positions require FOID & firearm certification
