Overview
We are seeking a vigilant and dependable Security Guard to protect our premises, personnel, and assets. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a safe environment through vigilant surveillance, conflict management, and adherence to security protocols. This role is essential in ensuring the safety and security of our facility and its occupants. Prior experience in law enforcement, military service, or security is highly valued, along with certifications such as CPR and First Aid. The Security Guard will operate surveillance equipment including CCTV systems and perform loss prevention duties to deter theft and unauthorized access.
Responsibilities
- Monitor premises through surveillance systems such as CCTV to detect suspicious activities
- Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security standards are maintained
- Respond promptly to alarms, emergencies, or incidents, providing appropriate conflict management and resolution
- Enforce access control procedures by verifying identification and authorizations
- Perform first aid or CPR when necessary, providing immediate assistance in medical emergencies
- Maintain detailed incident reports and documentation of security activities
- Collaborate with law enforcement or emergency services during incidents or investigations
- Assist with loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or property damage
- Conduct security checks of equipment, entrances, exits, and other critical points
Requirements
- Proven experience in security, law enforcement, military service, or related fields is preferred
- Valid certifications such as CPR and First Aid are highly desirable
- Strong surveillance skills with experience operating CCTV systems
- Excellent conflict management and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of security protocols, loss prevention techniques, and emergency response procedures
- Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle stressful situations effectively
- Good physical condition with the ability to patrol large areas on foot if necessary
- Must be reliable, attentive to detail, and maintain a professional appearance at all times
