About the position
Position: Part-Time Floater Security Guard
We’re hiring dependable and flexible Security Guards for part-time “floater” positions (20–40 hours per week) in Brooklyn. As a floater, you’ll cover various client sites, filling in for regular staff or providing extra coverage. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is comfortable adapting to different environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Travel between assigned sites to provide security coverage where needed.
- Patrol and monitor areas to deter theft, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
- Maintain a visible and professional presence to promote safety and order.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, and emergencies.
- Enforce site policies, check credentials, and manage entry points.
- Complete accurate incident and daily activity reports.
Qualifications
- Minimum age: 18
- Active New York State Security Guard License (required)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to travel between sites
- Strong communication and observation skills
- Ability to remain professional and calm under pressure
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Rate: From $17.50
