Duties
- Monitor surveillance systems such as CCTV cameras to oversee activity across the premises and identify potential security threats.
- Control access by verifying credentials and authorizations for employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors.
- Conduct regular patrols of the property to detect suspicious activity, ensure safety protocols are followed, and prevent theft or vandalism.
- Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies by coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as needed.
- Perform first aid and CPR when necessary to assist injured individuals until professional help arrives.
- Manage conflict situations using effective conflict management techniques to de-escalate tensions and maintain order.
- Complete detailed reports on incidents, patrols, and security breaches to ensure accurate record-keeping for future reference.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in security roles or law enforcement is highly desirable.
- Certifications in first aid, CPR, and conflict management are preferred; ongoing training is encouraged.
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and loss prevention strategies.
- Background in military or law enforcement service is a strong plus.
- Strong observational skills with the ability to identify suspicious behavior quickly.
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with team members, visitors, and emergency responders.
