Position Summary:
Hillwood is currently seeking a highly professional and disciplined Security Officer to join its in‑house security team at the corporate headquarters in Dallas, TX. This veteran‑friendly organization has built an elite security team responsible for providing protective services for the facility, associates, guests, and family. Responsibilities:
Protective Services and Site Security:
- Provide a safe and secure environment for associates, guests, and visitors by staffing various security posts and working assigned shifts.
- Secure premises and protect personnel through routine patrols of buildings and surrounding property.
- Maintain familiarity with high‑profile individuals and guests as required.
- Transport high‑profile guests and personnel in support of protective operations.
Monitoring, Response and Investigation:
- Monitor surveillance systems, access controls, and alarm systems.
- Respond to alarms, calls for service, and emergency situations.
- Investigate suspicious behavior, incidents, and potential security threats.
- Document and report incidents, observations, and activities accurately and thoroughly.
Communication and Coordination:
- Maintain effective communication with other security officers, supervisors, and internal staff.
- Use radios, mobile devices, and other technology to support security operations.
- Answer telephone calls and provide information during non‑business hours as required.
- Coordinate and work closely with federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies when necessary.
Training, Readiness and Professional Standards:
- Maintain required firearm proficiency, emergency medical training, and other security‑related certifications.
- Remain prepared to respond to unexpected emergency situations and special events.
- Support team objectives and contribute to a disciplined, professional security culture.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Strong situational awareness and sound judgment with the ability to assess risk and respond appropriately to evolving situations.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discipline, and composure when interacting with associates, guests, high‑profile individuals, and external partners.
- Ability to follow post orders, policies, and directives while maintaining flexibility in dynamic or time‑sensitive situations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to clearly document incidents and observations.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also operating independently when assigned.
- High level of integrity, discretion, and respect for confidentiality.
- Comfort using radios, mobile devices, surveillance systems, and other security‑related technology.
- Dependable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent performance across varying shifts and operational demands.
Education and Experience:
- Hillwood actively supports continued education and encourages team members to pursue a college degree.
- Prior U.S. military service strongly preferred.
- Experience providing security services in U.S. embassies, government facilities, military installations, or similar high‑security environments.
- Background in access control, patrol operations, surveillance, emergency response, or protective services highly desirable.
Physical Requirements:
- Each officer will present themselves in a welcoming manner and conservative appearance.
- Ability to maintain firearm proficiency, emergency medical and other security related training.
- Maintain Texas Class C driver’s license and operate a motor vehicle and other equipment as needed.
- Must maintain a Texas Department of Public Safety Level 4 security officer certification.
- Maintain a clean and presentable appearance without facial hair.
