Duties
- Monitor premises using CCTV systems and conduct regular surveillance to detect suspicious activity or security breaches
- Control access points by verifying identities of employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors, ensuring authorized entry
- Respond swiftly to security incidents or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services when necessary
- Conduct routine patrols around the facility to identify hazards, enforce safety protocols, and prevent theft or vandalism
- Manage conflict situations with professionalism and tact, de-escalating disputes and ensuring safety for all parties involved
- Perform safety checks including first aid assessments and CPR if required, providing immediate assistance when needed
- Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security reports to ensure accurate record-keeping
Experience
- Prior experience in military, law enforcement or security roles is highly desirable
- Training or certification in first aid, CPR, or conflict management is preferred
- Familiarity with surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems and loss prevention techniques is advantageous
- Background in military service or law enforcement provides valuable skills applicable to this role
- Strong understanding of security protocols, access control procedures, and emergency response planning
- Ability to remain alert for extended periods while maintaining professionalism under pressure
