Armed Security Guard — Full Time
Starting Pay: $20.00/hr + Quarterly Revenue Bonus
Schedule: 12-hour shifts | Full-Time
About the Role
This is a armed security position responsible for the safety of Kansas City Cannabis staff, patients, customers, and facilities at our new Eagleville location. You’re not a deterrent prop — you’re an integral part of the operation. Guards are trained, equipped, and trusted to respond. We expect professionalism, situational awareness, and the composure to handle real-world incidents.
KCC provides training and equipment. We invest in our security team because a safe operation is a successful operation.
Responsibilities & Duties
- Secure the dispensary and all personnel from internal and external threats.
- Conduct foot patrols of the dispensary floor and perimeter.
- Escort vendors on property and coordinate with delivery agents.
- Monitor security cameras throughout your shift.
- Respond to on-site emergencies with professionalism and proper protocol.
- Manage disruptive or unruly individuals in a manner that protects staff and customers.
- Observe and report activities or behaviors of concern including theft and credible threats.
- Maintain a daily activity log and complete incident reports as required.
- Support accident prevention and staff safety awareness.
Qualifications
- Must be a U.S. Citizen with a valid driver’s license.
- Must be able to obtain a Missouri Marijuana Facility Agent ID.
- Must obtain an armed security guard certificate through local authorities (training pathway provided).
- Honest, coachable, and committed to a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
- People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply (reviewed case-by-case per state licensing requirements).
Veteran Hiring Preference

- Prior mobilized service in the Armed Forces or public service is strongly preferred — veterans will be prioritized in hiring decisions.
- DD-214 required for all Veteran applicants.
- Public service backgrounds (law enforcement, fire, EMS) are also viewed favorably.
